电路板设计也叫PCB设计,它以电路原理图为根据,实现电路设计者所需的功能。PADS软件是Mentor Graphics公司的电路原理图和PCB设计工具软件。目前,该软件是国内从事电路设计的工程师和技术人员主要使用的电路设计软件之一,是PCB设计高端用户最常用的工具软件。PADS作为业界主流的PCB设计平台,以其强大的交互式布局布线功能和易学易用等特点,在消费电子、半导体、通信、医疗电子等当前最活跃的工业领域得到广泛的应用。
本书由高校教师与从事PCB设计一线工程师合力编写。作为一线的教学人员,作者具有丰富的教学实践经验与教材编写经验,多年的教学工作使他们能够准确地把握学生的学习心理与实际需求。同时,从事多年PCB设计的工程师参与本书编写工作,他们年富力强,实践经验丰富,能够在编写工作中紧紧结合具体项目,理论结合实例。在本书中,处处凝结着教育者与工程师的经验与体会,贯穿着他们的教学思想与工程经验,希望能够给广大读者的学习(尤其是自学)提供一个简捷、有效的捷径。
本书以MentorGraphics最新推出的PADS 9.5中的PADS LogicPADS LayoutPADS Router为基础,重点介绍PADS 9.5原理图与PCB设计的方法和技巧。本书通过“项目教学法”进行编写,通过实施一个完整的项目进行教学,把理论与实践教学有机地结合起来,充分发掘学生的潜能,提高学生解决实际问题的综合能力。全书共11章,主要内容包括:

在介绍的过程中,注意由浅入深,从易到难,图文并茂,语言简洁,思路清晰。通过对本书的学习,读者可以真切地体会出PADS在电路板设计内在的规律以及原理图和PCB设计的思路,从而进行电路板设计实践,提高电路板设计能力。
